Sherlock Holmes Meme

EDIT-- I HAVE SEEN THE SHERLOCK HOLMES MOVIE. It was not horribly horribly horrible as I feared, but there were still many points I did not like. However, Downey Jr.'s acting was fabulous given the material he had been handed, and Jude Law was absolutely fabulous. The Bops On The Head go to the directing and maybe the writers, who produced a somewhat bland actiony plot, and a bad guy whose gimmick solely revolved around having the best toys that nobody else had. Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic and all that: Clarke's third law.

The best parts of the movie were simply Jude Law and Downey Jr. ping-ponging back and forth all the insecurities Watson is almost too shy to admit in the actual books, which was pretty cool. But I wish they had shaved Downey Jr. And that he was maybe a foot taller. And stuff.

1) Better things to do, like contemplating why there is a pencil stuck into my apple, or why my alarm clock is on top of my teapot, and why there are post-it notes on my teapot, or why my hairbrush is sitting on top of the whole monstrosity.

PSA, kids. Sherlock Holmes is cool. But he's a sucky role model. Get some sleep.

2) Poor Watson. Don't laugh at his pain-- he's a very devoted friend and that doesn't deserve to be laughed at. Okay, maybe a little. Tee-hee.

Sherlock Holmes is trying to hide his SHINY PREDATOR STAR eyes, but is failing.

Also, this stuff was drawn at 3 AM, when I don't care about costume integrity.

3) My Lestrade has a button nose. A button nose. Shut up, it's my imagination.

4) Sorry, Mr. Holmes-- I am a huge fan of all of Watson's adjectives. I can't pick a favorite moment in canon because DARN IT, WATSON.

What's that you say? Doyle wrote the stories? YOU KNOW WHAT? YOU ARE A PARTY POOPER. LET ME KEEP MY SUSPENSION OF DISBELIEF, GEEZ.

5) Jeremy Brett is king. Too bad I suck at drawing him.

6) Mr. Sherlock Holmes has like a +5 modifier when he has to take a saving roll vs. cuteness.

7) IN SPAAAAAAACE.

8) Paper Sherlock and Paper Watson's investigation of the Mushroom Kingdom's infamous serial Fire Flower arsonist brings them to Paper Sumatra, where they must face the vicious watchbeast of the guilty fiend-- the Giant Rat of Sumatra!

Okay, I got nothing.

9) I predict 50 percent of people will interpret my sarcasm wrong the first time.

They are BEST FRIENDS. Any subtext is due to Watson being a little too zealous about going on about how awesome his BFF is.

10) ZOMG ZOMG DOWNEY JR. IS GOING TO RUIN MY FANDOM ARGH ARGH NO NO NO NO HE DOESN'T LOOK OR ACT LIKE THAT AAAAAAA (See above: my fears were not too too confirmed)
